Petrology Trip To The Minnesota River Valley
May 1999

Here are a few of the less serious moments of the Petrology field trip to the Minnesota River Valley in May, 1999. During the trip we find a piece of granite we can't resist - it is sooo big! We have to take it back for the rock garden in front of Mudd. We find we can roll it if we get enough people to help.

Once we get the hang of it we can roll it right along.

We use the same technique to unload the rock in front of Mudd. The main perpetrators here are Beth, Zach, Mike, Nate and Tom.

The rock finally reaches its destination!

Back to business, it's time to clean the dishes and cooking equipment. Erica and Kate are washing, while...

Zach, Stacy, Nina and Beth do the drying.

Out on the dock, Jon and Mike clean coolers. Now the stuff goes into the equipment room for the next trip.
