Lisa almost is stranded in the middle of the stream!

Bill works on drawing the story out of the rocks.

Bess takes the prize for the best sandwiches, served on a plate even.

At Confusion Point, Ryan tries acid on the rocks...

...and then he talks Bess into it.

Even Bill has to stretch to make sense of the outcrop; maybe he never does.

We had an excellent tour of the Hibbing Taconite Iron Mine. Mine Geologist Al Strandlie was our guide.

The dump trucks they use in the mine are HUGE! They dwarf our 15-passenger vans.

We look funky in hard hats and safety glasses.

Ever the gracious host, Shelby welcomes us to agglomerating.
