Lyndsey did a little scrambling.
At Elephant Rocks State Park, Sara defied the drizzle to teach us about weathering of granites.
Next day we found the unconformity between the Precambrian granites and the Paleozoic layers. Here a huge dike makes it even more interesting.
Sara leads the discussion,
and we look at the sedimentary layers.
The unconformity is visible here behind Maggie.

Fuzzy doesn't buy it, and gives another hypothesis.
