Carleton Geology in the Bahamas
Every two years twelve
Carleton students spend two weeks on San Salvador Island, Bahamas studying carbonate
sedimentology, stratigraphy and diagenesis, and coastal geomorphology. Much
of the time on the island is spent conducting independent research projects
in small teams. Led by sedimentology professor Clint Cowan, the program includes
complementary course and laboratory work on campus both before and after time
on San Salvador.
