All physics students are invited to join the Department faculty and staff for lunch. We can meet on 3rd Olin at 11:55 for the short walk to the dinning hall or you can join us there.

October 10, All-science Poster Session

Friday, 3:30 p.m., Hulings Atrium

Students from the sciences will present the results of work they did this summer at Carleton or off campus. There will be several posters from physics/astronomy students. Come see what they did and what was going on in the other disciplines. Refreshments.

Iowa State Engineering Programs. Any students interested in hearing about graduate engineering programs at Iowa State should come and talk to their representative. She will be here at Carleton from 10:30 to noon on Wednesday October 22. See Nelson for an appointment.

Physics Department Picnic. Both the Hill of Three Oaks and the Goodhue Super-lounge have been reserved for Friday, Oct. 24, from 4-8pm. We figured that if the weather is too bitter cold we could hold the picnic indoors. As for the food, food preference sign-up sheets will be passed around. Watch your email and Radiations for more information.
