Friday, Nov 2, 3:30 pm Olin 149, "How We Got Here: Carleton Science Faculty Discuss Their Academic and Professional Choices." Carleton Colleges chapter of Sigma Xi invites the Carleton community to attend a panel discussion with representatives from the science departments. Susan Singer (Biology), Chuck Carlin (Chemistry), Bereket Haileab (Geology), and Arjendu Pattanayak (Physics) will be discussing their personal journeys into science and the life choices that led them to Carleton. This is an opportunity to hear about the various trajectories that have brought the panelists to where they are now, and to discuss with them the possibilities available in science. Food and drink will be provided.
