Weekly Calendar

October 29, Physics Table, 11:30-12:30 p.m., LDC 117, Join the Department staff for lunch. We can meet on 3rd Olin at 11:20 for the short walk to the dinning hall or you can join us there.

October 31, SDA Lunch, Noon-1 pm., 2nd floor Olin Lounge. Meet the Student Department Advisors and munch on Pizza. Find out about the major, learn about the classes and meet more physics people.

November 1, Goodsell Open House, Friday, 7-9pm, Goodsell Observatory. View stars, galaxies, and nebulas through the Observatory telescopes if clear. The meteorite collection, beautifully documented by Carleton geology majors Amalia Doebbert '03 and Hilary Gittings '02, will also be on display. Dress warmly as the observatory domes are not heated.

The observatory holds open houses the first Friday of every month (except July 4 next year). The events are cancelled if it is cloudy.
