FALL SEMINAR SERIES: Our speakers, both local and international, are Nathanael Motz on "Starbirth and Hotspots" and Jon Allen on "Absolute X-Ray Wavelength Measurement." This is the last seminar of the term, so don't miss it!

COMMENTS:


* Letters from alums: Check out the letters from two alums posted on the bulletin board in Mudd. One letter concerns graduate school, the other summer internships and permanent employment.


* Summer Internship: The High Altitude Observatory of the National Center for Atmospheric Research (Boulder, Colorado) has available summer appointments for college undergraduate students who will be entering their senior year in the fall of 1997. The application deadline is January 10. See poster in Mudd for more information.


* Student Drivers: Please give your name to Rebecca (rtollefs) if you are a qualified student driver. We'd like to have our majors drive our visitors to and from the airport.


* Carleton Funded Summer Student Fellowships: You will find information on the Web in the Dean of the College section under Campus Offices.
