Attention All Students: All the Department's hard drives will be erased over the Winter Break. Please save any work you want to keep on your own floppies or College network account before the end of the term. If you have any questions, please email dfoxgrov.
Informational Résumés: Many of you will soon be asking members of the department to write letters of reference in support of various types of applications that you may be filling out. Before we write letters of reference for you, we would like you to fill out an informational résumé and give it to each faculty member from whom you request a reference. You can find the standard form at http://physics.carleton.edu/Careers/recletter.html.
Conference on Caucus called Astronomy Ask questions and/or share any experiences you may have had in astronomy. Don't feel intimidated, ask away! John Weiss plans to have a monthly sky map up there, too, for anyone who wants to keep tabs on what to see in the sky. Happy star gazing!
