SIGMA XI NOMINATIONS DUE IN ONE WEEK: If you are a senior science or math major from the local 5-state area (MN, WI, ND, SD, IA), please consider nominating your high school science or math teachers for recognition at the Sigma Xi banquet to be held on April 24. Nominations are due to Chris Roosenrad by March 14.
HELP US MOVE BACK TO OLIN: We are still looking for one or two students to help with relocating all of our equipment and supplies back in Olin. This will involve unpacking, finding all the pieces and screwing things back together, planning and organizing storage space, updating our computer inventory so that the computer can tell us where to find things, etc. We have requested funds for this position but haven't yet received an okay, so it's still tentative. The work could be concentrated in the first part of the summer, if that appeals to you, or spread over the whole summer. Contact Doug if you're interested.
EMPLOYMENT POSSIBILITIES FOR SPRING TERM: We need another lab assistant for Physics 112 next term and, depending on registration, we may need more graders and tutors. None of our majors have taken P112, so completion of P122 is the most obvious "prerequisite" for any of these positions. Therefore, sophomores and even first yearers who have completed P122 are eligible. If interested, contact Bruce Thomas (bthomas, x-4389, Goodsell 204).
