Physics Speaker: Abstract for Becky Royšs Talk, "Imaginative Solutions in Software Consulting": The software development cycle utilizes a methodology based on problem solving, analysis, communication, and organization. In this field, business analysts need to be technical and programmers must understand the business in which they are working. A good software developer learns quickly how to balance competing constraints with client desires and software quality. I will describe this balancing act as well as experiences from my 6 years in this ever-booming industry.
