Special Projects Special projects are two or three credit courses (vs six credits for a regular course) which can last a half or a whole term. A student doing a special project is allowed to work "independently" under a professor on a project of the professor's choosing. The professor and student usually meet once a week to discuss how the project is progressing. These web pages detail student's efforts in astronomy special projects.
