This magnificent image of the Crater Tycho is the result of mixing red, blue and green filtered images taken at 0.01 seconds. We also took this image on our very first adventure with the CCD camera and operating systems on October 23, 1996. Due to the corruption of the red image from one of our other moon pictures, this is the only mixed color image of the 12 day old moon which we still have from that autumn night.
