Tenniel Self Portrait The Evolution of the Images

Illustrations and images of Alice's Adventures in Wonderland are nearly as important as the words that accompany them. Many illustrators and artists have approached the task of representing Alice visually from just as many different angles. We can see in these images reflections of the times in which they were created and get a sense of what Alice has meant to different people over time. This is by no means an exhaustive list of all the images of Chapters 5, 6, and 7 in existance, but rather a chance to take advantage of the internet as a medium and its ability to give us an idea of how our "picture" of Alice has changed over time.
