Willy Pogany

Willy Pogany (1882-1955) was born in Szeged, Hungary on August 24, 1882. He was heavily influenced by Chinese and Japanese art and illuminated manuscripts. Some aspects of his Alice that set it apart from other editions are the sheer number of illustrations (over 60) and his distinctive '20s style, even protraying Alice as a little flapper.
