Carleton at Technos

2010

We were so pleased when we were selected to represent Carleton at Technos International Week in Japan.  None of us had traveled in Japan, so the opportunity to participate in an international exchange in a country known for its scenic beauty, ancient cultural history, and welcoming people was intriguing to say the least.  With all the anticipation we had leaving the Minneapolis-St. Paul airport, we could never have guessed that our experience would far exceed our expectations.  Our hosts at Technos were kind, hospitable, and anxious to get to know us.  We were treated to a wonderful mixture of Japanese culture, urban living, and natural scenery.  In this web site each of us have collected our thoughts on the overall experience in order to introduce the Carleton community to the wonder and beauty that Japan has to offer.  Our collection of video clips and photos are just a taste of our experience.  We encourage everyone out there to travel to Japan if you have the opportunity.  You will be overwhelmed as we were.
