    This is the Census Data extraction site.
  • Data Desk
    This is a Macintosh program that has been around for over a decade. Performs ANOVA's and many other major functions.
  • Data Junction
    Data Junction for Windows is a general-purpose data conversion tool, acting as a universal and neutral "junction" in the middle of all structured data. Data Junction software permits users to translate data to or from almost any structured file format.
  • The Data & Story Library:
    An online library of datafiles and stories that illustrate the use of basic statistics methods.
  • Demographic Data Viewer
    DDViewer lets you create maps and calculate statistics for 220 demographic variables from the 1990 U.S.Census. This is very cool!!
  • High Performance Systems, Inc.
    Producers of Stella II and ithink Software packages.
  • Ivation Datasystems
    Ivation Datasystems Inc. is a pioneer in the development of multidimensional software tools and information technology services for delivering statistical data worldwide.
  • MCSim
    This is a simulation package that lets you design your own model for simple simulations, Monte Carlo stochastic simulations, or Bayesian inference through Markov Chain Monte Carlo simulations.

  • Pinpoint for Windows
    This is an 'all-in-one' package for dealing with surveys, including surveys via e-mail.

    This is a general package that is now available for both IBM and MAC.
  • Stata & Resampling Statistics
    Two Statistical packages at The University of Maryland at College Park.
  • Virtual Library of Statistics
    Virtual Library's statistics page is a link to Statistics departments, mailing lists and other information.
  • WesVarPC
    This is a free package for the PC.

    This was set up by the CTI Centre for Psychology. They are in the form of code or scripts for experiment generators on either Mac or PC.

    This site is a good resource for anyone interested in qualitative analysis. CAQDAS aims to disseminate an understanding of the practical skills needed to use software which has been designed to assist qualitative data analysis (e.g field research, ethnography, text analysis). There are software demos to download, a mailing list, advisory help-line, newsletter, and more. Start your research at this site.
  • Ethnograph Website
    The Ethnograph facilitates the management and analysis of text based data such as transcripts of interviews, focus groups, field notes, diaries, meeting minutes, and other documents. It is designed to run on IBM and compatible computers with a 286 or later processor.

  • QSR (Qualitative Solutions & research) Makers of QSR NUD-IST & N Vivo
