Aliens

Aliens is the action-packed sequel to Alien. It has the distinction by many of being superior to the first film. This is rare amongst sequels, though The Godfather Part 2 and Scream 2 are both in this group. Aliens continues the story of Ellen Ripley 57 years after the first movie. She has been in suspended animation all this time, and everyone she knows is gone. A colony of 157 people has been established on the planet that the first alien was found. When the colony stops transmitting, a force of marines is sent in to investigate, with Ripley, being the only person ever to have seen one of the aliens and survived. They find the colony deserted, with the exception of 1 little girl, who Ripley forms a bond with, and more than 150 aliens. By the end of the climax, only 2 marines remain, along with Ripley and the little girl, Newt. The survivng marines are Hicks, played by Michael Biehn, who played Kyle Reese, and Bishop, an andriod played by Lance Henrickson. As they try to escape the complex, Newt is taken into the alien hive. Ripley goes in to retrieve her and meets the alien queen. Ripley angers the queen by destroying her eggs, and so she chases Ripley and Newt. The queen hitches a ride on the dropship and is taken to the spaceship in orbit. A battle ensues between Ripley wearing a power loader, which is sort of like a wearable forklift, and the queen. I won't say who wins, but there are 2 more, but bad, sequels.
