As the title implies, this page is more or less a comparison of Deconstructing Harry by Woody Allen, and Breathless by Jean-Luc Godard. Both directors used editing techniques very different from the classical Hollywood style, including jump cuts, continuity violation and unbalanced framing of objects. Their techniques create a visual style that is very self aware, causing the viewer to see the film as just, well, film. The similarities are quite amazing, and hopefully I can prove that with the following pages... just use the nifty links to your left or look below.
