Mission

The Classrooms Committee provides a flexible and convenient way to examine issues that are relevant to the design, modification and use of classroom spaces. It has three principal objectives:

  • To create and review classroom inventory and discuss the need for additional information;
  • To review procedures for classroom/learning space changes/upgrades;
  • To initiate discussion of strategies for assessing future priorities;
  • To consider classroom change requests.

Membership

Faculty: One faculty member is appointed by the Faculty Affairs Committee to serve a two year term. 

Staff: Five staff members serve this committee in an ex officio capacity. They include an Associate Provost, the College Registrar, a Facilities Project Manager, a Presentation Technology Specialist and the Transcript Coordinator. The committee is chaired by the Associate Provost.

Students: No students serve on this committee.

Committee Work

The committee meets as conversations or issues arise. Meeting agendas are determined by the chair, in consultation with committee members. They report to the Provost.
