The Cannon Watershed Partnership (MN). Seeking Volunteer Coordinator
intern to assist with the planning and organization of the Cannon River
Festival, and setting up outreach events at county fairs and community
events. Additional duties include assisting watershed analyst with support
for volunteer water quality monitors and assisting CRWP staff to solicit
and identify various groups and agencies throughout the watershed, and
develop a schedule of events, among other duties. 20-25 hours per week,
$9 per hour for 12 weeks starting May 15. Send resume and cover letter

Loaves and Fishes (MN). This Catholic Worker Community is looking
for interns and community members. The pay is room and board and live-in
workers can have part-time jobs outside the community. The focus is
on hospitality, resistance, community living, and spirituality.
Government Executive Magazine (DC). This monthly magazine covering
the business of federal government and its departments is looking for
a summer intern to perform a variety of editorial tasks. The work involves
conducting research to help the reporters in preparing stories, reporting
and writing news items for the daily web newsletter, and helping out
with web site maintenance. $1500 stipend for 3 month commitment. Cover

Pendle Hill Youth & Service
Program (PA). Social Action and Social Witness Internships available
September 2002-June 2003, a 9 month service program for young adults
and seasoned activists. Also, now hiring 3 youth camp leaders and 1

Free Room and Board Offered to Vote Smart Interns!
The Project Vote Smart founding board has approved a new round of room
and board scholarships that allows students to spend 10 weeks in the
Montana Rockies while helping to save American Democracy. Space is Limited
so Apply Soon! Interns play a crucial role at Project Vote Smart. Interns
and volunteers make up a vast majority of the staff. The overriding
qualification for interning at Project Vote Smart is a commitment to
the nonpartisan mission of providing unbiased information to the voting
public. Application forms are available through the Political Science
Department, Career Center, or by logging on to www.vote-smart.org.
Along with a completed form, students should submit a resume and three
reference letters or contact information.
