The Institute for Civic Leadership
at Mills College (CA).
Currently seeking female sophomore or junior students to participate
in next year's fall semester internship program for social change. The
program involves a combination of rigorous coursework, mentoring by
women leaders, an individually tailored internship in a government office
or community organization, skill-development workshops, a speaker series

Inter-American Dialogue Internship Program (DC).
Seeking students with proficiency in English, Spanish and/or Portuguese
to participate in a program which looks to improve the quality of debate
and decision making on US-Latin American relations. Duties might include
attending briefings, groups, or meetings, writing articles for the program's
newsletter, or performing administrative tasks. Spring internship runs

North House Folk School
(MN).
Starting January 1, North House will be accepting applications for summer
interns to assist instructors, assist participants while sailing/studying
on board school's schooner, greet visitors, and help with administrative
tasks. Applicants should have experience working with the general public
and the availability to work 40+ hrs/week; $400 stipend/month, housing

Plant Genome Research
Program (NY).
8-10 week internship in one of several participating labs currently
doing plant genome research. Students will attend meetings, read and
discuss project literature, present their research, and may also participate
in field work. Student interns will be provided with housing and a modest
