Full-time internship opportunity available for a sharp, witty and intrepid Carleton graduate. The Institute for Civic Leadership at Mills College (CA).
Currently seeking female sophomore or junior students to participate in next year's fall semester internship program for social change. The program involves a combination of rigorous coursework, mentoring by women leaders, an individually tailored internship in a government office or community organization, skill-development workshops, a speaker series and retreats. Inter-American Dialogue Internship Program (DC).
Seeking students with proficiency in English, Spanish and/or Portuguese to participate in a program which looks to improve the quality of debate and decision making on US-Latin American relations. Duties might include attending briefings, groups, or meetings, writing articles for the program's newsletter, or performing administrative tasks. My Travel Bug, Inc.
Offering fellowship stipends to students for educational travel overseas in exchange for publishing their travelogues and pictures on the website. Past Fellows have traveled to Europe, Africa, South America, and Asia to study history, religion, languages and to volunteer in ecology, teaching English or democracy studies. North House Folk School (MN).
Starting January 1, North House will be accepting applications for summer interns to assist instructors, assist participants while sailing/studying on board school's schooner, greet visitors, and help with administrative tasks. Applicants should have experience working with the general public and the availability to work 40+ hrs/week; $400 stipend/month, housing & training provided. Offering unpaid internships, both part and full-time during Carleton's winter break and in the coming months. Academic credit may be granted and transportation reimbursements may be available. For more information, email Jason.Richardson@mail.house.gov, with "internship" in the subject line.

Plant Genome Research Program (NY).
8-10 week internship in one of several participating labs currently doing plant genome research. Students will attend meetings, read and discuss project literature, present their research, and may also participate in field work. Student interns will be provided with housing and a modest stipend. Quaker United Nations Office (NY).
Now accepting applications for 2004-2005 internship program. Students should have an interest in international affairs and a commitment to Friends' principles; interns work closely with permanent staff on one or more issue areas, while providing administrative support. Wolf Hollow Wildlife Rehabilitation Center
(WA).
Wildlife Rehabilitation Internships available; interns work with experienced staff members to learn diets, food preparation, and feeding and handling techniques of both injured adults and orphaned young wildlife.
