The American Junior Golf Association (varies).
AJGA is looking for qualified applicants to serve as tournament operations assistants. Interns will learn everything that is involved with conducting a golf tournament: rules officiating, tournament set-up, media and public relations, starting and scoring groups, etc. Basic golf knowledge and extensive travel required; workday begins at 6 a.m. Meals, travel and hotel provided; $175/week. The Field Museum (IL).
Seeking juniors or seniors of all areas of study to help the anthropology department develop a small traveling exhibit on one or more themes of traditional Japanese culture using items in the Boone collection. The focus will be on developing concepts and labels as well as object selection. Paid internship will run from January 2004 through early June. Deadline for application is October 31. The Plant Genome Research Program at Cornell (NY).
8-10 week internship in one of several participating labs currently doing plant genome research. Students will attend meetings, read and discuss project literature, present their research, and may also participate in field work. Student interns will be provided with housing and a modest stipend. The White House Office of Public Liaison (DC).
Seeking interns to work in various offices on tasks including planning White House briefings, meetings, and large events with the President, Vice President and other White House staff and coordinating national, state and local activities on behalf of Presidential initiatives.
