AIDS Health Project (CA).
Several internship opportunities available working with HIV-related
issues. Interns will work within the HIV Counseling and Testing Program,
the Research Program, Psychosocial Support Services, or other departments.
Internships begin in July and run for one year. Interns will work
32 hours/week and receive $800/month for housing. Applications available
in Career Center or online. Deadline March 31.
Ayurvedic Medicine Yurt
(ID). Unpaid internship with Carleton Alum Cate Stillman
'95, perfect for those interested in preventative medicine. Duties
will include performing ayurvedic massage therapy, some computer work,
herbal medicine research, and organic gardening. 20 hours/week with
benefits including free yoga classes, free consultations, and free

Market Bridge
(MD). Two internship opportunities available to rising Juniors
and Seniors for a marketing position during both Winter and Spring terms.
Responsibilities include campaign execution, PR, tracking events and
competitor activity, and web site maintenance. Internships are unpaid,
but students will receive valuable experience in marketing and business

Marshfield
Medical Research Foundation (WI). The 2003 Summer Research
Internship program is now accepting applications. Program lasts from
May 27 to August 15, and students will participate in a learning experience
that incorporates all aspects of the research process. Deadline is
February 21, 2003. Application forms are available on their web

National Solar Observatory
(NM, AZ). Research experiences for undergraduates available
with NSO, a center for excellence in solar physics. Students have the
opportunity to learn a variety of research skills including design of
experiments, data acquisition, and more. Summer research positions are
full-time, lasting 10 to 12 weeks between May and September. Stipend
of $350 per week, and travel allowance is available. For more information

Phillips
Exeter Academy (NH).
Teaching Intern Program available to 20-25 outstanding college juniors,
seniors and graduate students. Interns are paired with veteran teachers
who give them opportunities to immerse themselves in the full life of
the Summer School. Interns will teach, serve as members of the residential
staff, and participate in extracurricular activities. Deadline for
completed applications is February 15, 2003. Applications are available
in the Career Center and online.
River Bend Nature
Center (MN). Summer Program Naturalists needed from June
2 - August 22, 2003. Responsibilities include developing and teaching
programs for youth environmental day camps and teaching public weekend
programs for all ages. Stipend is $177/week plus housing. Application

Riverview Economic Development Association (MN).
REDA is a non-profit community development corporation working to increase
the economic capacity and vitality of the businesses on St. Paul's West
Side. Internships are available for Spring 2003, and students will be
working with the staff on community organizing, economic development,
main street revitalization and more. A stipend is available based on

University of Minnesota
(MN). The Bioinformatics Summer Institute has sixteen internship
opportunities available for Summer 2003. Juniors and seniors are encouraged
to apply for this ten-week program lasting from June 16 to August 22.

University Of Minnesota (MN). The Hormel
Institute, a research center in Austin, is accepting applications from
undergraduate students interested in obtaining hands-on research experience
in the fields of biochemistry, biophysics, molecular biology or nutrition.
A stipend of $3200 is provided for the ten-week program. For further
