The Carleton
Career Center homepage is a terrific resource for students both
on and off the campus. Don't forget to access the web page periodically
while away this summer for updates on fellowship opportunities, internships,
and job openings. Just follow the links from the Carleton home page
for all your career planning needs!
The
Heritage Foundation (DC). Competitive internships offered during
the fall and spring. These programs are designed to introduce bright
and innovative college students to the policy-making process, and encourage
them to become active and effective participants in public affairs.
Most interns conduct extensive research and some writing. There is a
$10/day stipend and limited housing is available for $600/month. Applicants
must be college juniors or older. Apply by July 15.
Pragmatic C Software Corporation
(MN). This Software Corporation has an internship available
for a physics, math, or possibly a CS student. The company is implementing
quantum physics and E&M differential equation solving computer software
and has a position for a summer intern who has completed at least their
junior year. For more information, contact and/or send your resume to

aware of early fall deadlines for some of the more competitive internships
such as the Dow Jones Newspaper Fund, Time, Inc. and US State Dept.
internships for Summer 2004.
