Summer Internship Positions

The 2004 Wells Fargo Twin Cities Summer Internship Program is offering positions to individuals as an opportunity to gain valuable work experience, demonstrate skills and prepare for regular employment. Throughout the program, interns will be invited to various events to network and learn more about Wells Fargo businesses. If performance warrants and if the intern is available, it is our goal to assist the interns in finding regular employment upon completion of their assignments.

Superior National Forest (MN).

The Whale Center of New England (MA).
Become involved in habitat conservation and education programs while working with a scientific team on identifying whales, dolphins, and porpoises. Applications due March 1. Visit www.whalecenter.org/intern.htm for information.

The Green Mountain Club (VT).

Internship positions in Outdoor Leadership, Environmental Education, Backcountry Caretaking, Trail Construction, and Land Stewardship. Housing, food, and small stipend provided. May also earn Americorps Education Award of $1000-$2400. www.greenmountainclub.org

MOTE Marine Laboratory (FL).
Internship opportunity for those interested in pursuing estuarine research. Internships are for 10 weeks; housing and travel provided. Native Pacific Islanders encouraged to apply. Application deadline is Feb. 15. www.mote.org/~jimg/REU.htm

Berkeley Repertory Theatre (CA).

US Department of Homeland Security
Internships for rising juniors interested in pursuing the basic science and technology innovations that can be applied to the DHS mission; must be majoring in physical, biological, or social and behavioral sciences. Summer stipend of $500/week. In addition, $1,000/month for 9 months stipend and fall tuition and fees paid. Applications due February 19. If accepted, applicants must be willing to accept, after graduation, employment offers from DHS.
