Cairo Times (Egypt).
Newspaper with a strong liberal slant now accepting applications for unpaid intern positions. Interns would work on anything from research to writing and editing. Journalism experience not required, academic or professional experience in Middle East preferred. The Consortium on Financing Higher Education (MA).
Non-profit association of 31 private colleges and universities needing a research assistant in a six-person educational research office. Work would be primarily on college admissions, financial aid, and surveys of students. 10-12 weeks, 35 hrs/week, up to $13/hr. Application deadline is April 2; forward resume and cover letter via email to Edward Jacobson at eaj@mit.edu.

FSU College of Law Summer for Undergraduates Program (FL).
Seeking freshman and sophomore participants for a four-week summer program designed to acquaint students who are thinking of law as a career choice and are from groups that are historically underrepresented in the legal profession. Includes guest lectures, daily classes, and actual courtroom proceedings. Includes room and board and $500 stipend. Application deadline is April 2. The Fund for Theological Education.
Offering undergraduate fellowships to rising juniors and seniors who are interested in Christian ministry as a vocation. Provides a 4 day retreat with top theologians and pastors, $1500 toward educational expenses, and a possible extra $500 for mentoring. Applications are available in the Career Center, the Office of the Chaplain, and at www.exploreministry.org; deadline is March 1.

The Maryland Vietnamese Mutual Association (varies).
Seeking applications from Asian American/Pacific Islander and Native American/Alaska Native students who are majoring in aviation studies, computer science, economics, math, law, or business administration to work for the Federal Aviation Assoc. Interns will gain professional and technical experience; 10 summer weeks. Receive $4500 stipend and $1000 housing and travel allowance. Deadline: March 1.

Minnesota Public Radio (CA).

Public Radio is seeking a web intern in Los Angeles, CA. Intern would provide general web site and email newsletter content as well as site maintenance support for marketplace.org. The Sonoma County Public Policy Management Internship (CA).
Providing recent college graduates of all areas of study a one-year paid internship and the opportunity to gain experience in economic research, report development, policy analysis, and project management. U of California White Mountain Research Station (CA).

The Eastern Sierra Internship creates an engaged learning community in which interns explore the role of scientific inquiry in natural resource management through work on independent research projects and weekly science discussions, guest seminars, student presentations, and other group feedback and reflection. The office of Summer Academic Programs at Carleton is accepting applications for a summer '04 Program Assistant. Job responsibilities include: living in dorms with program participants, organizing activities, tutoring Japanese college students, preparing program materials, general office duties, and more.
