with an interest and aptitude for public policy and/or political communication.
Interns will be directly engaged with the Center's policy experts and
will participate in research, writing, and web-based projects; also
assist staff with administrative tasks and help organize conferences

Looking for ranger interns who possess good oral and written communication
skills; must be able to keep neat and accurate records, interact with
co-workers and visitors, and operate assorted power and hand tools.
Job duties might include: administrative projects, minor trails and
grounds maintenance, general building maintenance, and cleaning facilities.

Herbert Scoville Jr. Peace Fellowship
(DC).
Offering internships to students with interest in public-interest organizations,
arms control, and international security issues. Interns would support
the goals of their host organization by conducting research, attending
coalition meetings and briefings, writing fact sheets, letters to the
editor, and organizing conferences. Six-nine months, provides a stipend,

Seeking civic-minded, energetic interns to work with members of the
Consumer Division in the downtown St. Paul office. Three month, unpaid

The Plant Genome Research
Program (NY).
8-10 week internship in one of several participating labs currently
doing plant genome research. Students will attend meetings, read and
discuss project literature, present their research, and may also participate
in field work. Student interns will be provided with housing and a modest

US Dept of Agriculture at U of M St. Paul Campus (MN).
Providing a paid summer intern program for students to work as assistants
with scientific, professional, and technical employees. Interns will
gain experience and learn about future career opportunities at ARS.

(DC).
Opportunities available for rising juniors interested in pursuing the
basic science and technology innovations that can be applied to the
DHS mission. Applicants must be majoring in physical, biological, social
and behavioral sciences (science policy, engineering, mathematics, or
computer science); min. 3.3 GPA. Summer internship stipend of $500/week.
In addition, $1,000/month for 9 months stipend and fall tuition and
fees paid. If accepted, applicants must be willing to accept, after
graduation, employment offers from DHS. Applications due February
