The Bakken Museum seeks up to two people to join the education staff
part-time in September 2002 as Field Trip Educators. Field Trip Educators
deliver hands-on science workshops (on static electricity, batteries
or magnetism) and guided exhibit tours as part of The Bakken's field
trip program for 4-6th grade school and youth groups. Training is provided.
Qualified applicants will have: experience working with youth in an
educational environment; excellent oral communication and presentation
skills, and ability to adjust level and pace of presentation based on
audience needs, interest in teaching/learning physical science, interest
in the historical and humanistic context of science, college coursework
