Résumés

Résumés are necessary if you want to get a job. They can be challenging to write, but if you spend the time on it you'll find your résumé will pay off in spades. Whatever stage of writing you're in, whether it's brainstorming or final polishing, the Career Center can help.

We've put a lot of good advice on-line. So let's get down to business.

Some Opening Words To Remember: A Résumé Is A Summary

It is not intended to be an autobiography relating everything you have ever done, but rather a one-page summary for potential employers, highlighting your education, experience, and other qualifications relevant to your job search. Its primary purpose is to get you an interview so that you have an opportunity to sell yourself in person. Nothing more.
