Ways To Help
|
Offer information--Alumni can offer valuable information
to students regarding job choices, career paths, potential employers,
industries, cities, and much much more. You can:
- Meet with interested students for a meal or at your place
or work
- Answer questions over the phone
- Give tours of your job site
- Speak on campus about your field and experiences after
college
- And much more ... Contact the Career Center at 507-646-4293
or e-mail kpeterso@acs.carleton.edu
for more information.

Host a student--The Career Center offers students the
opportunity to shadow alumni at their place of work in a "Career
Exploration." These can be short day-long excursions or
even a week, depending on your schedule. Students can observe
a working professional (that being you) at his/her place of
work to learn what that particular job/organization/industry
might be like on a daily basis.
If you want to host a student, please call Kathy Cooper in
the Career Center at 507-646-4297 or e-mail kcooper@carleton.edu.

|
Offer an internship--Students are always looking for
work, and are eager to look for employment that can be educational
and help them in pursuit of their career goals. If you have
an internship for a student, paid or unpaid, please alert the
Career Center and let us know about it. We will post it on our
searchable database, and in a weekly bulletin distributed to
students.
If you are aware of an internship Carleton students might be
interested in, or want to offer an intership yourself, please
call Kathy Cooper in the Career Center at 507-646-4297 or e-mail
kcooper@carleton.edu.

Recruit for a job--If you or your place of business
would be interested in hiring Carleton students after they graduate,
please contact Mike Hendel at 507-646-4294. We offer recruiting
on campus, as well as some other ways to interview students
if recruiting is not feasible.
