Women's Soccer: Keren Gudeman Voted Region Coach of the Year
Carleton College women’s soccer head coach Keren Gudeman was named the NCAA Division III Central Region Coach of the Year by the National Soccer Coaches Association of America (NSCAA). She was selected based on a vote by coaches throughout the region.

Women's Basketball: Early Shooting Woes Prove Costly, Wildcats Drop Knights
Ally Weaver scored 16 of her career-best 24 points in the second half, but it was not enough as Carleton saw its three-game win streak snapped. The Knights overcame a 15-point deficit but ended up dropping a 64-61 decision to the College of St. Catherine.

Men's Basketball: Knights' Inside Dominance Too Much for Cardinals
Zach Johnson tallied his sixth career double-double to lead Carleton (8-2, 4-1 MIAC) to a 70-62 victory over Saint Mary’s University. The win was the Knights’ 17th straight in the series and moved Carleton into a three-way tie for second in the conference standings.

Football: Ziller Earns Trifecta--AFCA, Associated Press and D3Football.com All-American
Senior strong safety Drew Ziller has been named to the American Football Coaches Association’s (AFCA) All-America Team, the D3Football.com All-America First Team and to the Associated Press (AP) Little All-America Third Team. He's one of only eight players in Division III picked for the AFCA All-America Team, the D3Football.com First Team and to the AP LIttle All-America squad. He led all NCAA Division I, II and III defensive backs by averaging 7.0 solo tackles per game, a figure that tied for fifth among all NCAA defensive players, including linebackers and defensive linemen.

Men's Soccer: Robert Carlton First Knight to Earn All-America Honors
Junior defensemen Robert Carlton followed up his All-Region selection by being chosen for the 2008 NSCAA/adidas NCAA Division III Men’s All-America Team. He was a second-team pick and becomes the first Carleton men’ soccer player to be an All-American selection. This season his strong presence on the Carleton’s backline helped the Knights permit only seven goals all season. Of nearly 700 NCAA Division I, II and III teams, the Knights ranked second with a miniscule 0.31 goals against average.

Women's Swimming and Diving: Becky Alexander Named MIAC Swimmer of the Week
Carleton College senior Becky Alexander was named the MIAC Women's Swimming & Diving Athlete of the Week for Dec. 8-14. She was part of three victorious races during Carleton's double dual meet against Rollins and Olivet Colleges on Dec. 13.

Women's Basketball: Knights Notch Third Straight Win
Sarah Lincoln scored 12 of her 18 points in the second half to propel Carleton to its third straight victory, this one a 67-57 triumph at Saint Mary’s University. Annie Eckhoff and Sarah Kunelius each contributed 11 points off the bench.

Men's Basketball: Rosett and Johnson Lead Knights Past Pipers
Bryan Rosett notched his fourth career double-double, with a season-best 22 points and a career-high tying 13 rebounds to lead Carleton to a 82-66 victory over Hamline. The Knights (7-2, 3-1 MIAC) closed the game on a 22-4 run spanning the final seven minutes.

Women's Basketball: Weaver's Hot Shooting Sparks Knights to Win
Ally Weaver poured in a career-best 20 points to lead five Carleton players in double figures as the Knights (3-5, 2-3 MIAC) posted an 84-67 triumph over visiting Hamline. Sarah Lincoln added her 10th career double-double, notching 14 points and 10 boards.
