Resources & Facilities
ITS maintains a variety of public labs, technology equipped classrooms,
and other resources around campus.

| Public Labs |
ITS provides 9 public labs with more than 200 computers for use
by the Carleton community. Some of these labs can be reserved
for teaching or presentation purposes (SEE Classroom Technology,
below).
Support for the public labs is provided by the Student Computing
Information Center (SCIC) on the first floor of the CMC. Please
direct any questions about the labs or requests for service or
supplies to the SCIC, x4040.

| Technology Resource Center (The Magic Lab) |
ITS maintains the Technology Resource Center (popularly known
as the Magic Lab) as a resource of specialized equipment and software
for the Carleton community.
Located in CMC 106, the Magic Lab offers flatbed and slide/negative
scanning, audio/video capture and editing, CD and DVD authoring,
color printing, and much more.
Please stop by and see what's available. The students at the
adjacent help desk will be glad to help you get started.

| Wireless Network Access Points |
ITS maintains a number of access points where members of the Carleton community can use our network over a wireless connection.

| Classroom Technologies |
All of Carleton's classrooms are equipped with connections to
the campus network, and many contain multimedia presentation equipment,
including computers, projectors, VCRs, etc.
The Classroom Technologies division of ITS provides and maintains
this classroom equipment. If you have requests for classroom technology,
write to classrooms@carleton.edu or call x7070 and leave a message.

| Loaner Equipment |
|
ITS provides computing equipment for short-term loan. Laptop
computers (Macintosh and Windows based), portable printers, digital
cameras are available. Contact your computing
support provider.
