Tocqueville, Covenant, and the Democratic Revolution: Harmonizing Earth with Heaven

Barbara Allen teaches courses in political theory, news media, film, and politics, and institutional analysis and development in the department of political science as well as in the media studies, women's and gender studies, environment technology and science, African/African American studies and American studies programs. In addition to her work on Alexis de Tocqueville, she has published articles on religion and politics, public opinion, the political thought of Martin Luther King, Jr., citizens' perceptions of TV election news coverage and political advertising, as well as film and politics.
