Carleton? Which one?
If you didn't know already, there's another Carleton out there -- Carleton University in Canada. They've been putting material on the web, and that's where the trouble arose.
Most of the major web indexing projects list pages by title. If you search one of these indexes for "Carleton", you'll get a mix of pages from both Carleton College and Carleton University.
That's not necessarily bad, except that some of the pages have titles like "Carleton Admissions" or "Carleton Information", making it difficult for the average browser to identify the source of the material.
As a result, we've formed an agreement with Carleton University's web master that we will both spell out "Carleton University" or "Carleton College" whenever we use the name in a document title.
